Workspaces

A workspace is the top-level container in Hule. It owns all your data — spaces, lists, tasks, views, tags, and settings. Most people use one workspace for their personal tasks and a separate one for each team or project they work on.

Spaces and Lists

Inside a workspace, content is organized as a two-level hierarchy:

Workspace
  └── Space e.g. "Engineering"
        └── List e.g. "Sprint 24", "Backlog", "Bugs"
              └── Task
  • Spaces are broad categories. Use them to separate areas of responsibility (Work / Personal), projects (Mobile App / Website), or departments.
  • Lists live inside a space and hold the actual tasks. Each list has its own set of statuses.

You can create as many spaces and lists as you need. There are no hard limits.

Creating a workspace

When you sign up, a personal workspace is created for you. To create additional workspaces:

  1. Click your workspace name in the top-left corner.
  2. Select Create workspace.
  3. Give it a name and choose an optional avatar.

Each workspace is fully isolated — tasks, members, and settings in one workspace are invisible to another.

Workspace members

A workspace can have multiple members. Every member must have an active Hule account.

Inviting someone:

  1. Open your workspace settings.
  2. Go to the Members tab.
  3. Enter their email and send the invite.
  4. They'll receive an email with a link to accept. If they don't have an account yet, they'll be prompted to create one during acceptance.

Member states:

StateMeaning
ActiveFull member — can see and interact with shared content
PendingInvite sent but not yet accepted

Removing a member: Only the workspace owner can remove members. Removing someone revokes their access to all spaces, lists, and tasks in the workspace.

Ownership

Every workspace has one owner — the person who created it. The owner can:

  • Rename or delete the workspace.
  • Invite and remove members.
  • Share spaces and lists with members.
  • Transfer ownership is not available yet (contact support if you need it).

Deleting a workspace is permanent and irreversible. All tasks, lists, spaces, and shared access are removed immediately.

Leaving a workspace

If you're not the owner, you can leave a workspace from Settings → Members → Leave workspace. Your membership is removed and you lose access to all its content.
