With an 11th sort rule, Hule doesn't save the sort until you remove one. * **Read-only lists.** On a list you can only [read](/reference/permissions-and-access#share-access-levels), the list's own views show **Filter** but not **Sort**, **Group** or task selection. ### Exceptions by view type * **Calendar.** The grid places longer tasks on top, and timed tasks at their hour, whatever you pick. **Group**, then **Sort**, order the **+N more** list and the **Unscheduled** panel. **Color by** in [**Calendar settings**](/guides/plan-on-timeline-and-calendar#calendar-block-time-by-the-hour) sets the chip color. * **Dashboard.** The filter narrows the widgets that show task data; text, image and clock widgets don't use it. **Sort** and **Group** are shown, but each widget groups by its own setting. * **Relations.** On a list's own views **Sort** and **Group** are shown, but the graph ignores them; other Relations views hide them. * **Scrum Poker.** Until you press **Start session**, a member who can start a session sees a preview that sorts and groups like the view's **List** type; other members see **No estimation session yet**. The session takes the tasks in the sort order, without the groups. While the session and its summary are on screen, the view's header hides **Filter**. ## Views on mobile In a phone's browser, Hule uses its [mobile layout](/guides/install-the-desktop-app#phone-browser) and draws three view types in their own way: | View type | On mobile | Guide | |---|---|---| | **List** | Rows; swipe a row to mark it **Done** (or **Reopen** it) or to **Delete** it. Tap a bar for the task's sheet (**Open task**, **Edit dates**, **More…**); hold a bar to drag its dates; **No date** lists the tasks without dates | [Timeline: move, resize and add tasks](/guides/plan-on-timeline-and-calendar#timeline-move-resize-and-add-tasks) | | Any other type | The message *This view is only available on a big screen for now* | — | ::: danger Deleting a task can't be undone The swipe tray's **Delete** asks once, then removes the task for good. ::: ### Mobile behavior The **⋮** list menu holds these entries; the last two appear on a Timeline only: | **⋮** menu entry | Who sees it | View types | |---|---|---| | **Refresh the list** | everyone | List, Kanban, Timeline | | **Sources** | everyone | List, Kanban, Timeline | | **Grouping**, **Sort**, **Filter** | a view you [can change](/reference/permissions-and-access#share-access-levels) | List, Kanban, Timeline | | **Slice** (whether the view shows [subtasks](/guides/break-down-with-subtasks) as rows) | a view you can change, over lists with subtasks | List, Kanban, Timeline | | **Scale** | everyone | Timeline | | [**Timeline settings**](/guides/plan-on-timeline-and-calendar#timeline-move-resize-and-add-tasks) | a view you can change | Timeline | * **Switching views.** The view picker at the top lists all of the list's views; the ones mobile can't show are marked **Soon**. * **New views.** On a phone you can create a List, Kanban or Timeline view; in **Display mode** the other types are marked **Created on a big screen only**. * **Pages with no mobile screen.** Settings, the notifications [**Inbox**](/guides/set-up-notifications) and other such pages open the list you visited last, or your first list; the rest of the phone layout is in [Phone browser](/guides/install-the-desktop-app#phone-browser). ## View access: User, Workspace, List A view's **Type** decides who sees it and where its tasks come from. It is set when you create the view. For example, a personal view **Today** with the sources **Work** (a workspace) and **Home / Errands** (a list in another workspace) shows tasks from both workspaces side by side, and only you see it.
